This handmade glass wall sconce can be mounted horizontally or vertically, and brightens up any space with two standard lightbulbs, we recommend LED or CFL bulbs are ideal. This sconce pictured measures 16" long, 7" wide, and 3.5" deep. Please contact us for custom sizing.
Easy to install, the painted white back plate is screwed to your wall, lightbulbs are installed, and the glass is mounted on the fixture with an attractive check ring and screw cap. The included rubber grommet makes sure that you can't overtighten the screw, preserving the handmade glass cover.
This sconce is made with clear glass and sports a Ice White powder printed color on its frosted back side. These lights can be arranged for in-wall wiring or with a plug and switch. Please contact the shop for custom arrangements/colors/patterns, etc.

What is Powder Printing?
Powder Printing is an adaptation of screen printing techniques that replaces ink and paper with powdered glass and sheet glass. I begin by digitally manipulating images taken from the living world around me or from historical photos. Just like in traditional screen printing, each image is broken down into its constituent colors, screens are produced, and then placed above a layer of flat sheet glass. I create the image by forcing powdered colored glass through the screens onto the sheet glass, which becomes the canvas for the design. When fired in the kiln, the glass particles fuse together, and pieces can then be used as panels or set up over ceramic or metal forms and heated until they slump into a desired shape.
